This previous client wanted to add a pool (by others) with a 1800 SF travertine paver patio on a concrete base, pavilion, bar and outdoor kitchen. We had to carve out a good 36” in height of grade to allow for a newly remodeled door into the basement for easier access to the patio. Steps up and around the raised spa that lead to the slide and the existing deck and additional patio with a fireplace all constructed by Holloway.

This project was intense. Not only did the customer approach us to build a custom porch with integrated drainage system, they also wanted a pool sunken into their backyard. This by far created the biggest challenge. The before and after of this project is incredible. Nothing about this yard suggests a flat area for a pool. But rather than approach that as an issue, we used it as an opportunity to create one of the most jaw dropping pool, patio and porch combinations we have ever undertaken. The installation of this design likely required us to remove more soil than the original excavation for the entire home! The basement egress stairs were even redesigned to create this oasis.

The crown jewel of this backyard is definitely the recessed fire pit. Although, that outdoor kitchen is a pretty exciting second. Just look at all that beautiful marble used throughout the space. Everything from the pool and patio to the fire pit and kitchen were constructed by our company. This was a true testament to pushing the limits of creativity.
