May is Deck Safety Month®, and as an Ambassador Owens Corning® Lumber encourages you to prioritize deck safety in every season. Estimates conclude that half of the decks in the U.S. require repair or replacement*, many of which have problems with ledger boards.
With warmer weather and more time spent at home, NADRA is calling on professionals in the decking and outdoor living industry to help promote deck safety and Check Your Deck® this May and beyond. With over 60 million decks in the US, 50 million being residential and 10 million commercial, there are estimated to be 30 million decks that have exceeded their useful life and are in need of repair or replacement.
