FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
A Message from Andrew Pantelides, President of NADRA Board of Directors

As a proud Canadian and President of the North American Deck and Railing Association, this week reminds me of something I see throughout our industry every day:
The strongest relationships are not defined by borders.
Our NADRA Family is helping countries around the world replicate what we have done here in the United States and Canada. Active Associations have formed and are growing in Australia and the UK.
Across Canada and the United States, builders, contractors, manufacturers, distributors, dealers, and industry professionals share ideas, solve problems, and learn from one another. Competitors become colleagues. Business relationships become friendships. People separated by thousands of miles come together because they share a commitment to building a safer, stronger, and better industry.
That is the spirit of NADRA.
NADRA has no borders.
Our responsibility begins with the homeowners we serve. Every homeowner deserves an outdoor living space that is safe, professionally built, and made to last. Through education, training, advocacy, and industry collaboration, NADRA works to protect homeowners while supporting the professionals who build the spaces where families gather and memories are made.
We also have a responsibility to strengthen the people and businesses that make up our industry.
Builders, manufacturers, distributors, dealers, architects, inspectors, and contractors are all part of one connected supply chain. Together, we create jobs, support families, encourage innovation, strengthen local businesses, and contribute to communities and economies across North America.
When we educate builders, we strengthen our industry.
When we raise standards, we protect homeowners.
When we share knowledge and opportunity, we build stronger communities.
One of the greatest privileges of being part of NADRA is witnessing the friendships that exist throughout our industry. These relationships do not stop at the border.
- A builder in Ontario can learn from a contractor in Georgia.
- A manufacturer in Pennsylvania can develop a partnership with a distributor in Alberta.
- A contractor in British Columbia can share ideas with a builder in Florida.
Knowledge travels. Innovation travels. Friendship travels.
And every time we share an idea, introduce two people, mentor another professional, or help someone solve a problem, we make our industry stronger.
Knowledge has no borders.
Friendship has no borders.
And neither does NADRA.
As we celebrated our national holiday and celebrated the countries we call home, I was humbled to receive messages of gratitude from my U.S. friends and collogues. I realized the strength of what we built together and honored to be a part of this NADRA family.
Our flags may be different, but our commitment to safer homes, stronger businesses, sustainable communities, and a better future is something we share.
We are one industry.
We are one community.
And together, we are building far more than decks and outdoor living spaces.
We are building stronger communities, stronger economies, lasting friendships, and a stronger future for North America.
A CALL TO OUR MEMBERS
As President of NADRA, I want to challenge every member of our association to think about the role you can play in strengthening our community.
- Share your knowledge.
- Mentor someone entering our industry.
- Start a conversation on NADRA Connect.
- Introduce two people who could benefit from knowing one another.
- Attend an industry event and meet someone outside your usual circle.
- Help educate a homeowner.
- Support another builder.
- Participate in NADRA education and training programs.
- Become involved in a committee.
- Share your ideas with our leadership team.
- Invite someone who is not yet part of NADRA to join our community.
An association becomes stronger when its members participate.
May we continue to build together, learn from one another, and remember that the strongest foundations are built through relationships.
