June 5, 2012 | Starborn Industries, an international supplier of construction fasteners, is looking for a Product Manager with excellent technical and communications skills to design, test and bring new fastener products to market. Starborn’s primary business involves the development and marketing of new fastener solutions for the decking industry. Specific responsibilities include: developing design parameters for new fasteners and fastening system prototypes, supervising internal and independent laboratory product testing, managing Quality Control, designing packaging and Point of Purchase displays, creating print, web and social media products to inform customers about new products, representing Starborn at trade exhibitions. A Bachelor’s degree is required. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of work experience demonstrating an ability to work independently and efficiently, strong communications and graphics skills, and a familiarity with basic residential construction practices. Specific knowledge of the decking industry, fasteners, and print and web design capabilities (including the ability to use Adobe CS software products) is also preferred.
