While planning their private pond, the couple knew they wanted a dock for fishing and entertaining friends, but neither of them anticipated that it would bring their backyard so much attention. Pictures posted on their Facebook page went viral, earning over 40,000 shares on multiple sites.
“We were blown away by all of the likes and shares on the Internet,” Stephanie said. “By the time our original photo went viral, our deck had been subjected to the elements for three years. It was badly in need of re-staining, and many cracked or warped boards needed replacement.
