Boston Cedar Hosts a Game Changing Event for its Northeast Independent Lumber and Building Materials Dealers

Boston Cedar recently launched its new decking, railing, and trim product line up at its “Game Changer” kickoff event held at the Omni Providence Hotel. With many of the leading northeast independent lumber and building materials dealers in attendance, Boston Cedar Chairman Rob Ankner got things started with an overview of the company and the reasoning behind its updated best-in-class product offering, while company President Joe Cusack emceed the event.

Dealer attendees and industry affiliates attentively listened to business presentations made by owners and key executives of Boston Cedar’s new supplier partners; RDI, KOMA Building Products and Trex Company.

Rob Ankner explained some of the reasoning behind the decision: “RDI, KOMA Building Products and Trex offer everything that Boston Cedar requires of our manufacturing partners: High integrity, financial strength, forward-thinking product innovations, and unbending focus on all aspects of exceptional customer service.” Ankner continued, “By distributing these game changing lines, Boston Cedar continues a near thirty-year tradition of offering best-in-class products, delivered with unrivaled customer service to our highly-valued independent LBM dealer partners throughout the Northeast.”

To quote one the hundreds of attendees: “The product presenters and video lead-ins for RDI, KOMA and Trex were top shelf and eye opening. The positive energy and enthusiasm generated by such a display of professionalism, historical perspective and product knowledge is the “juice” that keeps us all excited about cutting edge products and our place in bringing goods to builders and end users.”

Following the presentations, dealers had an opportunity to meet one-on-one with each of the new supplier partners and then enjoyed a cocktail reception with a real game changer; Boston Bruins legend and NHL Hall of Famer, Bobby Orr. The evening culminated with an elegant group dinner and an inspirational talk by Ed Cooley, current head coach of the Providence College men’s basketball team, who encouraged listeners to always strive to be great and never settle for good enough.

I’m genuinely excited about the positive reaction by our loyal customer base to these game changing products and programs” stated Paul Colliton, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Boston Cedar.
