Last weekend was a beautiful one in Atlanta, Georgia for the Spring Home Show at Cobb Galleria. By all accounts, it was the most successful Spring Home Show ever, with record attendance and more vendors present than ever before. It certainly did not hurt that the weather was perfect. Sunny, warm, and inviting, when the weather is great, people start thinking about being outside. When they do, they turn their attention to those projects they have been dreaming about all Winter.
Ask any member of NADRA, and there is a growing sense of excitement about what the rest of the year holds as a result of the turnout this past weekend. NADRA Atlanta members agree that the turnout was encouraging, with more motivated buyers and more successful follow-ups than ever.
Bryan Miller of Outback Decks has said that feedback from appointments booked at the show has been positive. “It certainly appeared that buyers were more serious,” he said, “we will have to see the outcome, but we view the show as a success.”
There also seems to be more confidence in the economy. People are spending more money, investing in their homes, and starting to dream. Frank Pologruto, President of Decks and More, observed that many people feel more comfortable spending their corporate bonuses than have in a while.
What this means for NADRA members and the industry in general is that more and more opportunities are arising to do what we love, helping people turn their outdoor spaces into new, exciting extensions of their homes.
And as members of NADRA, we have a unique opportunity to help and be helped by each other. Bryan Miller noted that he received at least two direct referrals from other members of NADRA. At Southeastern Underdeck, we also received several referrals from our friends at NADRA. Even more than the prospect of making money, the knowledge that we are all working together to move forward is the most encouraging takeaway from the Spring Atlanta Home Show.
Where the next year taskes us will be exciting to see. If this past weekend is any indication, we are all in for a great year.
