FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

On Oct. 21, nearly 80 Deckorators Certified Pros and their crews traveled to Nashville from as far as Alaska and Quebec to build decks and accessibility ramps for five local homeowners in a single day. The volunteer build was part of Build It Forward, Deckorators’ first volunteer event, held in partnership with Rebuilding Together Nashville, a nonprofit that has spent more than 30 years making health, safety and accessibility repairs for income-limited older adults in Davidson County so they can stay in their homes.

Contractors came from 17 states and one Canadian province, including Alaska, Colorado, Indiana, Kentucky, Missouri, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Washington, Wisconsin and Quebec. Working in crews of a dozen or more at each home, they built new decks, stairs and ramps, finishing all five projects by the end of the day. For several homeowners, the new ramps mean they can get in and out of their homes safely again.

“We’re grateful to partner with Rebuilding Together Nashville and to see so many of our Certified Pros give their time to help families in the community,” said Michelle Hendricks, director of marketing for Deckorators. “Everyone deserves a comfortable place to enjoy time outside, and Build It Forward is our way of helping make that possible.”

Crews built with Deckorators Voyage and Summit decking, and the projects included some of the first field installs of the new Align and Essential Aluminum Railing, which arrive at dealers in January 2027.

The Deckorators Certified Pro program includes more than 1,500 certified professionals. Deckorators is a brand of UFP Retail Solutions, LLC, a UFP Industries company headquartered in Grand Rapids, Mich.
