Wilmington, OH – April 15, 2010 | Suitable for commercial and residential applications, TimberTech’s new ADA Hand Rail system easily installs on any TimberTech railing system to provide additional safety and ease-of access.
The ADA Hand Rail system allows architects, engineers, builders and contractors to know they are in compliance with not only ADA requirements, but with applicable state and local building codes.
The hand rail has a 1-1/2” diameter gripping area. The exterior of the rail is PVC tubing and is supported with an extruded aluminum insert to increase rigidity and lasting strength for any application. Not running in a straight line? No worry, TimberTech offers an adjustable internal joiner to accommodate any transition from 0 to 90 degrees.
The system can mount on any existing railing structure to compliment or can be directly mounted to a wall with the in-line wall mount bracket or the 90 degree return bracket. TimberTech also offers a handicap loop for the end of a stair run. The ADA Secondary Hand Rail system easily installs on-site and no special tools are required.
Complete component offerings include: 1-1/2” x 104” Rail, Wall Mount Bracket, 90 Degree Return Bracket, 3” Standoff Bracket, 24”x12”x18” Handicap Loop, 6” Extruded Aluminum Internal Joiner, and 6” Aluminum Internal Adjustable Joiner.
Components are available in Black and White and carry a 25-year limited residential warranty.
