Dallas, TX – July 28, 2010 | DeckExpo 2010 introduces a new feature area in the Exhibit Hall – the Wood Pavilion. The 2010 DeckExpo is scheduled for September 15-17 (classes begin September 14) at the Baltimore Convention Center in Baltimore, Maryland and is held again in conjunction with Remodeling Show. Owned and produced by Hanley Wood Exhibitions, DeckExpo is officially sponsored by North American Deck and Railing Association (NADRA) and Professional Deck Builder magazine.

Presented by Real Outdoor Living and sponsored by NADRA, Western Red Cedar Lumber Association, Mendocino Forest Products and Humboldt Redwood, the Wood Pavilion will educate attendees on of the benefits of choosing natural wood as a decking material. This feature area will be a touch-point for all attendees who build primarily with wood products as well as a centralized location for all wood decking-related exhibitors at the show, creating a community and a strong pro-wood presence.

“The program is centered on the promotion of pressure-treated wood, and the activities in the Wood Pavilion will offer us an additional conduit of information directly to deck builders,” stated Amy Allen, Director of DeckExpo, Remodeling Show and JLC LIVE.

“Wood remains the number-one choice for decking material,” said Kim Drew with Real Outdoor Living. “The community aspect of the Wood Pavilion highlights our shared goal of working together to continue to build market share for and awareness of the benefits of choosing real, authentic wood.”

The Wood Pavilion will consist of an 800 square foot deck surrounded by booths represented by multiple wood species associations and vertical industry vendors, such as stains, fasteners and tools. In addition, the space will be defined by two arbors that will span two aisles of the Wood Pavilion. The open deck area will have wooden Adirondack chairs for seating and serve as a welcoming gathering place for all DeckExpo attendees. A Wood Pavilion Information Center will be set on the deck with racks of brochures and information from various wood associations and Wood Pavilion sponsors. In addition, Real Outdoor Living plans to host a Press Breakfast during DeckExpo 2010. Details of the breakfast will be announced shortly.

All attendees who register for DeckExpo or Remodeling Show have access to the Wood Pavilion for the duration of the show. Free exhibit hall registration and discounted conference packages are available until August 16, 2010. Visit www.RemodelingShow.com or www.DeckExpo.com for complete event information.
